Hey Guys,

you are just wonderful! On Christmas eve, my laptop went into hibernation and some glitch overwrote the partition table entry for my C drive in the MBR. Partition Magic said the space was unformatted. What made the potential disaster worse was that we are just back from an extended trip overseas and the last backup was August!

Having read some good reviews of your products, I bought a copy of Partition Table Doctor V 3.0 online. It immediately recognised the previous format of the C drive space and, 10 minutes later, it had restored the MBR and Partition Table. After immediately backing up the data, I was delighted to find the system (Windows XP Home) booted up normally after a scandisk on boot.

PTD is the best application I used which for the repair of the problem. I am the very choosy user, którergo is irritating a lot of trashy applications. Other people (also specialist and renowned) applications either they sickened or they were pretending that they are doing something.

Hello ptdd!

Im a privat user whos normally used to install both hardware and software and solve heavy related computer problems...
BUT:
I had to install a new hardrive for a friend in a system allready equipped with 2 drives. The task consisted of backing up important datas from drive C to drive D, remove drive C, install a new drive C and finally make a new WinXP installation.

Then I had to retrieve all the datas from drive D... Piece of cake! But the new drive appeared as drive D... and I removed the existing partition from what I thought was the "real" drive C... :-(

As I was ready to format the drive I got suspiscious and found out that i had removed a partition from the wrong drive... Do I need to tell you how bad I felt? "make back ups" they say.. it doesnt help if you mess the wrong drive right?

I looked in Google and found many tools i could try, but none of them seemed to work... Then I found your company. I tryed the demo and it looked as it was doing the job, so I bought PTTD Partition Table Doctor, installed it, prayed and 5 minutes later was the drive back in business! Your program saved me a lot of work and tears!

Im so happy now that I could kiss anybody! Yes the price is a little bit high, but the software is worth it!

Congratulations, you deserve all the awards you win! One suggestion: You should include a browser with both the demo and the final software, so people could actually see the files on the damaged drive... After have tryed the demo people will no longer be scepticals!

Hello,
I did a simple accidental delete on a drive and your tool worked great! It even recovered a partition with a mix of compressed and uncompressed folders. My only criticism is that your web site is hard to navigate and does NOT do this tool justice. I recommend adding a quick tutorial for the demo that states how to tell if the partition can be recovered or not. Regardless, thank you very much for making such a great tool!

Just a quick email to tell you how impressed I have been with the Partition Table Doctor program I purchased on line from you yesterday.

Two weeks ago I lost all of my business files on both my main hard drive and my backup drive. That's 4 years of files lost. In the meantime I've purchased 3 other recovery programs to try to recover my files, including `System Commander' from `V-Com' which actually made things much worse and turned out to be a terrible piece of software, (plus their technical department was very poor too)!

Just to let you know that I am extreamly happy with the software I purchased yesterday.

I had my drive partitions deletd when I was installing a copy of windows onto a new drive.
I am resonably proficient in using fdisk and it showed up no information when I looked at the drive.
I have been using computers for over 20 years had this is one of the best pecies of software I have come across.
The software restored my drive completly and I lost no data. Great product

Just wanted to drop you a note and tell you how pleased I am with the performance of your product.

I have a 160GB Maxtor drive that's just a little over a year old, and yesterday afternoon it seemed to have died on me. I tried various solutions, but nothing seemed to work. I am an experienced (22+ years) PC technician and developer, so I knew what I was up against.

Windows/2000 wouldn't start up, the disk seemed to be totally corrupted. I was afraid that maybe I'd gotten bitten by that worm that had been spreading to Win/2K computers.

I formatted and installed Win2K on a spare drive, and went searching for solutions. A Google search on partition table recovery showed your site near the top. I downloaded your trial version, and it seemed to be able to find and recover the partitions ( four of them ) on the big 160GB Maxtor. Of course, I had to purchase your product to be able to save the recovery info, but I thought I'd take a chance.

Well, it appears to have worked fine. I have a couple of minor issues in Windows/2000 with what appear to be corrupted or missing files, but it looks like 95% of my PC is back in working order.

I have never found a partition table repair program what worked very well, until I came across Partition Table Doctor - and believe me, I've tried them all.

I will spread the word about your product on my website, and to all my contacts and customers.

I'm now a BIG fan of Partition Table Doctor which saved the day. Very impressed with it.

Once I had created a PTD boot disc it recognized the error right away, asked if I wanted to correct it I said yes - restarted the machine and hey presto all back to normal. The best $49 we've spent in ages!!!!

Prior to using PTD I downloaded the trial version of Acronis Disk Director Suite 9.0 - again I created a boot disc and ran it. DDS seemed to think that my brothers PC had dynamic disc drives set up which it didnt support.
Thats as far as we got with that!!!

After using the Boot Loader of a major Software Producer, the partition table on my main corporate work machine was damaged.
None of the recovery products (all by major vendors) I tried was able to recover the complete partition table.

I just finished a build and was in the process of RAIDing it and something went wrong. I lost everything, including both RAID drives. Nothing, dead city. The only evidence that they even existed was in the system bios. I had hope: I knew the data had to be there. This data is all my support data for my web sites! This was really serious to me. 6 years work! Once I realized my 20 years experience in computers were no match for this, the sweat broke out. I knew enough not to run an Fdisk partition build, as it would delete all my data causing more problems then I already had.

I didn't panic... I wanted to, but I didn't. Thank god I wasn't drinking and had a clear head.

I fired up my admin computer upstairs and did a google search on partition recovery. The first couple of demo's didn't work and I was getting very shaky. So shaky, I could no longer type. Really...

Then I found your site: I will say, the page that opened wasn't your main page but a page explaining what your product would do. You said, when you were done, it would be like nothing had even happened. I didn't believe a word of it, but the way you explained along the way, I didn't dismiss you outright. I could tell, you knew what you were talking about. You also recommended downloading the demo instead of just buying it, which I did. It ran! I purchased the registered copy and presto. "Just like nothing happened." I don't know what to say, I woke my wife up and kissed her! I kissed the floppy your program is on. It's a good thing you folks weren't here, I'd have kissed all of you to!

I just wanted to send an email to let you know that I had complete success using the Partition Table Doctor program. My partition table got corrupted after I tried using Norton Ghost 2003 to make an image of my C:\\ drive. I have always used Ghost and never had any troubles. I set the requirements of the program in Windows, the program reboots the computer and restarts it in DOS and then proceeds to image my drive. This time when it rebooted nothing happened. I tried the emergency floppy, no good. I tried Partition Magic 8, no good. Nothing at all worked. I even went as far as to try and re-install Windows XP but the installer just kept complaining that there was no disk available to install to. All seemed hopeless, except after searching on the internet I came across your product.

I purchased it through the secure online download and it is without a doubt the best purchase of software I have ever made. It automatically fixed the problems (it seems that the major problem was the partition 1 and 2 were overlapping, a condition of the Ghost setting up a temp partition to operate from on the reboot). The whole process of repair took 20 seconds ! This product has easily saved me over 10 hrs of recovery time, not to mention all the
data that was on the 3 partitions of my 200 GB drive. Partition Table Doctor software is an absolute must have for everyone that gets involved with harddrive setups. This software would have saved me so much time and money in the past if I would have only known about it. I urge anyone who may read this testimonial to purchase a copy of this software even if you don't currently have any harddrive problems. You just never know when it may save your life. The first rule in computer storage is backup your data! Well, in this case, once my partition table got messed up the drive was completely unusable. Ghost boot floppy, Partition Magic floppy, Windows install floppies were all useless. I could not even restore the backups that I had to this disk as none of the other disk management apps could properly recognize the drive. Partition Table Doctor is the only thing that could fix this, and did it so quickly and easily it makes me wonder what all the other companies are doing. My new first computer rule is to always have a copy of Partition Table Doctor. Backups are essential of course but of no use if your harddrive is not usuable because of a messed up partition table !

My partition table got messed up when trying to resize a partition with Partition Magic and Ranish.I kept getting errors, #108 being the most frequent. Then I completely ruined the whole thing and I couldn't boot at all. I played around with fdisk and startup disks but I couldnt get back to Windows.

I spent about 5 hours messing around trying different things (a bit sad I know!)Anyway, I used my spare PC to connect the internet to try and find a fix. Usually there are free programs for every application that you might have to pay for, but nothing I could find compared to Partition Table Doctor. Even after all my destruction of the mbr and everything else, it fixed my PC instantly!

I had problems with my drive. PQMagic pointed out a bad drive and couldnt read the partitions anymore. But couldnt repair it either. No other software i had could. So i went up the net to find HD tools. Found yours, tryed the demo, this demo pointed out what was wrong. But it said that it couldnt save. So had to try and risk that the official program would do its work.

And it did...:)

Partition Table Doctor did a great job recovery my partitions and keeping the data in them.

I needed my startup disk once because the system complained about the changed MBR after reboot and stopped. However, as soon as I had Windows running again, everything seemed fine.

I found the try-out of PTD on download.com and then decided to buy it as soon as it was clear that it would fix the problem.

My problem occured when I was trying to prepare a new hard drive for win2000, under win98.

I booted up my 4 partition system win98, with win2000 disk in drive. The system booted from cd instead of boot disk. When the cd started a preinstall hard drive scan on my
SYSTEM C drive, I became overly anxious. I aborted the scanning, as a message indicated an abort on the scan was safe at anytime. I aborted and couldn't reboot. Under win xp I was only able to view my c drive. The data appeared corrupt ( I couldn't open system files).

I paid some local guys to have a look and they said nothing could be done. As I had only scanned part of c I had a hunch the data was still there and that the problem was probably my partition table.

I searched the net, found your site, download the demo, found my drives intact and purchased the registered version. Now everything is back as if nothing had happened. Thanks a lot.

I'm in the middle of recovering a 300GB Maxtor One Touch 2. So far. so
good..275GB yet to burn to dvd!

The drive stopped working because of (guessing here) the DriveLock feature.

This feature locks the external hard disk when it thinks it's not in the right owners hands. It removes something in the partition tables and tells Windows to format the drive when you try to access it.

I'm a long time tech and this is another challenge for me. I used your software Partition Table Doctor and fixed this problem in 2 minutes.

Norton Disk Doctor had it all wrong.

Easy Recovery was better, but did not bring up the drive as it was before.

Partition Table Doctor did everything I hoped it would do. Simply repair the partition table and let windows show the drive.

You have a great piece of software and I'll keep it in my toolbox forever.

I could have use this many times over my 18 years as a tech.

I installed the getdataback program and stored the folders on another p.c I then installed the PTDD Partition Doctor and in about 3 minutes it located the other partitions and saved them back to their original place, with all the data still intact.

I couldn't believe it was so quick and easy.

On just an ordinary Saturday I decided to clean up my "2nd" datadisk using Partition Magic. You know... too many logical partitions. Like many, many others I simply forgot to backup the files on that datadisk (one of the most foolish things I ever did!). Before I knew it, all my logical drives were gone. Off course we are talking "user error" here (PM is not too blame) but I have to admit: some tears drope from eyes. EVERYTHING GONE: photo's, documents, music etc. etc.

By googling around I came across your product and tried the trial version. This trial version brought up the most important logical disk. I decided to purchase and .... I am back in business. However not all 3 logical drives were saveable, I have 85% back on disk (and still copying to DVD as we speak!).

This worked! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I ran PTD windows version and almost instantly my drive was fixed. When I rebooted, it was literally as if nothing had happened! I nearly jumped up and down.

I can't say thank you enough. I have a computer science degree and have been programming for almost 20 years now, and I've never had a utility work so well or so quickly. If I didn't know better and understand what it was doing, I'd think it was magic :) I'm currently backing up all my data to another HDD. The sense of relief I feel is just incredible. You have literally saved my career.

For the record (and you can quote me on this): "Partition Table Doctor is a fantastic utility. Don't let the lack of proper English documentation fool you, either.
